Grand kid’s visit

Scott and family arrived for a short visit. Girls loved the farm and we loved having them all to stay. Here is Millie riding on Taffy the horse lead by Jessie from next door.

Spring

Spring flowers are looking great at the moment. Beautiful daffodils and hellebores. Weather is extremely mild and the grass is growing fast so we have lots of feed for the animals.

Big wind storm

Canterbury was hit by a big wind storm Tuesday night. We escaped with little damage but people down the road were not so fortunate. Plantations near Alice Pass road were decimated by the wind. Power was off for two days, weather was mild so the freezer lost its heat quickly and we needed to borrow a generator to keep it cold and the get water for the stock.

First lambs

First lambs of the season arrived today. Twins. Weather has been surprisingly mild and warm.

Granddad’s new bike
